About Mountaineering and Sports Climbing in Qeshm Free Zone

This association started its activities with the aim of promoting and expanding mountaineering and sports climbing in Qeshm Island. It strives to follow the programs below

Discovering, attracting, and nurturing sports talents in fields related to the association’s activities across various age groups, especially children, adolescents, and young adults, and forming sports teams

Organizing educational, introductory, and advanced classes across different age categories

Holding mountaineering competitions and events, along with its subfields, with a focus on Qeshm Island’s potential as a free zone and tourist destination, especially for international competitions and events

Training, selecting, and introducing individuals for team formation and sending them to programs, ascents, conferences, and sports competitions

Efforts to utilize voluntary services from the public to advance the sports under the mountaineering association’s umbrella

Establishing connections with athletes, coaches, and referees at provincial, national, and international levels to showcase the sports potential of the country and Qeshm Free Zone with the aim of attracting specialized tourists and promoting sports tourism in the country

Preparing and organizing an annual sports program and calendar based on the federation’s sports calendar

Expanding sports related to the association’s activities, considering the available resources in Qeshm Free Zone, such as caving and coastal trekking

Qeshm Island, with the longest salt cave in the world and unique rocky and sandy beaches, could be one of the best locations in the country for organizing camps and national and international competitions, provided it has suitable facilities
